We are delighted to announce that today we have been successful in our recent bid for funding through the Arts Council England Catalyst Small Grants fund. This fund supports organisations to build fundraising capacity to enable them to attract more private giving to arts and culture – one of the measures the Arts Council has put in place to help create a more sustainable and resilient art and culture sector.
Our Chief Executive, Thalie Martini, has said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been successful in our bid through the Catalyst Small Grants Scheme. As a small dance charity working with people with learning disabilities of all ages, this grant is of huge value to us and will enable us to continue with our wider fundraising activity to ensure the continuation and development of the important work we do within our local community and beyond for which there is great demand and need”.
Joyce Wilson, London Area Director, Arts Council England, said: “I am delighted to see this investment in Magpie Dance’s plans for a more resilient future through our Catalyst Small Grants programme. It is hugely important for London’s arts and cultural organisations to be able to be more sustainable, resilient and diversify their incomes. I am therefore thrilled that we are able to fund this excellent project in Bromley through our Catalyst fund, and support their fundraising plans.”
