A regular team of Magpie Dance staff visit Marlborough school providing 7 dance sessions in one school day, every week during term time. An on-going partnership, classes of all ages benefit from fun and inclusive dance sessions.
Each year, we take Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) placements who attend our sessions and gain hands on experience of our inclusive dance teaching methods and mentorship from our facilitators. Often on graduation RAD students become Magpie Dance volunteers or facilitators.
The ground breaking IDP training not only provides role models in facilitators and assistants who also trust in this, but also several opportunities to exercise this planning, patience and focused and active delivery of material in a real setting.
Inclusive dance workshops with live music, have been delivered by our team at many local schools including: Glebe School, Newstead Wood School, Scott’s Park School, Marjorie McClure School, Nash College, Riverside School – to name just a few!
