In these very unprecedented times, the Magpie Dance team are happy to share some good news. We are proud to announce that we have been nominated for the National Diversity Awards under the category of Community Organisation!
This is such an honour in light of the hard work and effort that has been put in throughout the past 35 years to build Magpie Dance into what it is today. Magpie Dance has grown from a small group that met once a week into a nationally recognised dance charity. After 35 years, we are proud to have a number of sessions, initiatives and opportunities that benefit a diverse range of learning disabled dancers, and we are excited to continue to grow.
The good news doesn’t stop there! We are thrilled to share that our incredible Executive Director Laura Graham has also received a nomination for Positive Role Model (Disability). For over 12 years, Laura has been working tirelessly behind the scenes to make everything happen. She is such a key member of the Magpie Dance team, consistently advocating for the company and dancers alike. We feel that it is time Laura was recognised.
Magpie Dance would really appreciate your support during the nomination process. It’s very simple, quick and easy to vote.
You will need to write a few short words to be able to vote, however this can be just one short sentence. Voting closes on Monday 8th of June, so please cast your vote soon. Every nomination really does count so please give us a vote, and feel free to share our wonderful news with your networks.
The Magpie Dance team would like to sincerely thank you for your ongoing support.
