Help raise money for Magpie by holding your own fundraising activity. We can help advertise your events here, and, where possible, even provide the T-shirts.
Our latest thanks go to:

  • Daniel Whitworth, Phil Davies and Richard Weaver who fundraised for us through participating in the British Gas Great London Swim on the 3rd July 2010.  The swim in the Thames, was one mile in total at the Royal Victoria Dock.  The boys raised approximately £800 for Magpie which is fantastic!

Go to the Support Us section for more details on how you can raise money for Magpie, and get sponsorship online through Justgiving.

About Magpie

Magpie Dance is an inclusive contemporary dance company and has carved out a national reputation for its exciting and inspiring approach to inclusive and creative dance. Based in Bromley, at The Churchill Theatre, we are accessible to all surrounding boroughs and can deliver workshops to any region in the UK.

Founded in 1986 by Artistic Director Avril Hitman, Magpie continues to grow and is at the forefront of dance for people with learning disabilities. Our ethos is informed by an emphasis on ability rather than disability.

‘The high regard in which Magpie Dance is seen as a major contributor in the field of inclusive dance for young people with disabilities'
Wates Foundation, Magpie Funder, Youth Group

Performances have taken place far and wide, from Sadler’s Wells and Laban to local churches, the streets of Brighton to Trafalgar Square, The Royal Albert Hall, Hextable Dance, and The Churchill Theatre, Bromley. We have also developed an innovative programme of community, training and education work plus a ground-breaking mentoring programme, benefiting people of all ages with learning disabilities.
