Magpie Dance were delighted to be invited by Children in Need to appear on Strictly Come Dancing as part of last night's result show! (Sunday 6th November 2022). A group of Magpie dancers aged 3-18, plus ambassador dancers, gathered for a special Children in Need Day of Dance, but little did they know there was huge surprise in store! 

It Takes Two host Janette Manrara along with Strictly pro’s Nadiya Bychkovav, Neil Jones, Cameron Lombard, Rachel Maguire, Luba Mushtuk, Lauren Oakley, Giovanni Pernice, Michelle Tsiakkas and Kai Widdrington surprised our dancers with a special performance – then together there was a fun dance session, Q&A and then they watched what our dancers have been working on…it was 10’s all round!! 

One Magpie dancer said “this is the best day of my life” and Magpie dancers and staff alike all had a fab-u-lous day. 

A huge thank you to the BBC, Children in Need and Strictly dancers for making this happen, for helping to bring awareness to the importance of dance for children with learning disabilities and for encouraging us all to keeeeep dancing!
